The goal of the programme is to mobilise $25 billion in order to accelerate and expand climate change adaptation efforts throughout Africa. One of the four flagships of this programme is YouthAdapt: Empowering Youth for Entrepreneurship and Job Creation in Climate Adaptation and Resilience. Under the YouthADAPT programme, AAAP is scaling up youth innovations for climate action through the Africa Youth Adaptation Challenge.

SME NEWS African Development Bank Kick Off AFAWA Finance Series For Women-Led VenturesThe African Development Bank Group and the African Guarantee Fund presented evidence of the positive impact of increasing women’s financial inclusion on Nigeria’s economy to senior Nigerian government and banking leaders. The two institutions opened the AFAWA Finance Series Nigeria, part of the African Development Bank’s Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) initiative, on 17 October. Representatives of AFAWA donor countries, including the Netherlands, France and Italy also took part in the opening ceremony.
